Shearing Shed Runner

This rustic hall table runner is made using a variety of different Australian natural wool fibres. A few years ago when I was completing my Spinning Accreditation Course, we needed to spin many different fibres (including Merino, Corriedale, English Leicester, Mohair, Alpaca) using different techniques (long draw, short draw, chain ply, varying tension & speed etc). This resulted in a beautiful array of textures and colours which have been combined to create this gorgeous woven piece, which could also be used as a coat scarf - it is probably a little too coarse for next to skin wear. This piece really demonstrates the 'Perfectly Imperfect' nature of handmade and would add a very unique touch to your decor.
